A Collective Heart

Today, in Maryland, many believe that our collective conscience has atrophied to the point of disconnection from our collective heart. Has Maryland's collective heart hardened substantially against innocent human life? At the start of Maryland's 2005 Legislative Session, are we going to contemplate and assess—with conscience as partner—this societal assault and deeply disturbing trend against innocent human life? Will we finally take the needed action to begin to protect innocent human life?

During the last several weeks, with Life Reflections™, we have cut through centuries of time to address the current defeat in Maryland, year after year, of innocent human life while pursuing a rights-over-life focused agenda, disconnected from conscience. Consider again:

Innocence Inside the Ultimate Darkness— the right to do as one chooses with innocent human life because life is connected to emotionally strung-out living.

Confronted by the Road to Jericho— the right to a hardened heart not moved by compassion.

Distracted by Illumination—the right to be distracted by the artificial illumination of the "good" of self-rights at the expense of innocent human life and the freewill embedded therein by God.

Holding Potential Hostage—the right to "hold hostage" the God-given potential of another justified by competition, guilt, and/or apathy.

A Disturbing Trend—the right to ignore the reality of a current disturbing Maryland trend of homicide as the number one killer of pregnant or recently pregnant women.

In this 2005 Legislative Session, Maryland cannot afford to again embrace "hardnosed" business committed to aggressive growth—disconnected from conscience—at the expense of innocent human life. When the authentic good of handsome business growth in Maryland is fraudulently represented at the expense of innocent human life, Marylanders are being lead astray. If Marylanders would finally embrace a successful business model that would also reverse the negative trends against innocent human life, would not this be moving in the direction of building up the common good of Maryland? Then why are we currently disconnecting business and the protection of innocent human life?

When one closes off his or her conscience—the voice of God—further reduction ensues in families, communities, religions, governments, other organizations, and so on. When the truth is being withheld from the citizens of Maryland, confusion is launched into our communities. Business reigns supreme over conscience and disproportionate reasoning reigns supreme over Maryland life. The wrong messages are sent to our citizens whom we are committed to protect. Do you want yet another year of business over conscience?

At Pro-Life Maryland, we believe our collective heart, if told the truth, would choose innocent human life over business disconnected from conscience.

If you believe it is important to let the citizens of Maryland know about the business of extinguishing innocent human life with a self-rights focus, please join with us now.
