Pro-life workshop, conference, convention
On Friday, Oct. 28, the Maryland Legislative Black Caucus will sponsor
a workshop titled The Impact of Ethics on Marylands Public Policy.
The workshop will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Margaret C. Schweinhart Hearing
Room of the Miller Senate Building, Annapolis. Topics will include embryonic stem
cell research, cloning, end-of-life decision making, and abortion. The keynote
address will be given by Dr. Claude Allen, currently the Assistant to the President
for Domestic Policy, advising President Bush on all non-economic domestic issues.

A conference titled The Gospel of Life and the Theology of the Body:
John Paul II as Interpreter of the Second Vatican Council will take
place at Catholic University of America's Pryzbyla Center 7-9 p.m., Friday,

The Northwest Center will be holding a volunteer training for those interested
in becoming pregnancy help counselors and supporting pro-life work within the
