The Rockville Pregnancy Center in Rockville, MD, has an opening for a 24 hr/wk physician, physician's assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) : Applicants must have a current license. Job responsibilities will include providing sonograms and counseling for abortion-vulnerable clients, performing STD testing, overseeing and training medical volunteers, and insuring outreach to the medical community. The Hagerstown Area Pregnancy Center (HAPC), a life-affirming medical clinic, will host its Grand Re-opening on Sunday, Oct. 16. On Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7 a.m., Senator Sam Brownback will speak to the Men's Leadership Forum about "The Debate Over Destructive Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research." The event will take place at the Army-Navy Club, located at 901 17th St. NW, Washington, D.C. The cost is $40, which includes a buffet breakfast beginning at 7 a.m., and Sen. "Who Controls Life?" Us or HIM?, a respect life conference organized by the Diocese of Arlington's Family Life Office, will be hosted at St. Leo the Great Parish, Fairfax, VA, on Saturday, Oct. 22. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school gym. A $15 registration fee includes breakfast and resource materials. A Rachel's Vineyard weekend retreat will be presented at the Aisling Retreat House, Manchester, MD, beginning 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21 and ending Sunday, Oct. 23. A Culture of Life Communion Breakfast will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, to benefit the Gabriel Project, an interdenominational church-based outreach to women facing crisis pregnancies.
